Riverside Health System is seeking an Accountant to work in the Lifelong Health and Aging Related Services Business Office in Newport News, VA.
Job Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparation of financial statements, the preparation and filing of third party annual cost reports and settlements, the preparation and maintenance of annual budgets, federal tax returns, audit work papers and reporting to VHI. The Staff Accountant prepares account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, reconciles fixed asset sub ledgers, and works on other projects as assigned by the Director of General Accounting for Lifelong Health.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Bachelor's Degree in Finance with a Concentration in Accounting required.
Experience: Previous Accounting related experience in area of financial statement preparation/analysis and budget preparation. Must be able to prepare reports utilizing information from numerous sources and systems. In depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
