The essential duties include performing general bookkeeping, maintaining financial reports, customer invoicing, and assisting management with analysis and reports. Provide objective insights, timely reporting, effective analysis and overall finance support

  • Provide assistance with the analysis and preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports including journal entries, reconciliations and statement preparation
  • Ensure timely execution of the month end closing process in conjunction with the Accounting team
  • Prepare monthly customer invoices as assigned
  • Provide analytical support on cross-functional projects as requested
  • Gather, compile, analyze, prepare and summarize data for financial projects
  • Maintain well-organized and efficient departmental files to provide easy accessibility to pertinent information
  • Provide timely, courteous service to all company personnel and respond to telephone calls, email, and questions in a courteous, timely, and friendly manner.

  • Strong financial analytical ability accompanied by knowledge of corporate finance principles – understanding of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow dynamics
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the company
  • Ability to accumulate, organize and manipulate quantitative data to identify and explain trends, problems and their causes. Compare, contrast and combine information to determine underlying issues
  • Demonstrate initiative and independence of action in performing the responsibilities of the position
  • Must be able to manage many projects simultaneously and prioritize workload appropriately
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and a changing business environment
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid time management skills & ability to multi-task
  • Ability to maintain confidential information

  • Minimum two years of formal education in Finance, Math, or Business
  • 3 – 5 years of Accounting/Finance work experience in Government contracting or project based accounting
  • Outstanding Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) skill\


  • Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Experience with Deltek CostPoint
  • CPA or CPA Candidate
