Opportunity Alert!, Administrative Assistant | Norfolk, VA area | Dominion Commercial Solutions the leading Internet solutions provider serving the equipment and the commercial trucking industries is actively looking for an individual experienced in providing administrative support to our staff.  Under the supervision of the Director of Strategic Initiatives and GM of Commercial Web Services of Dominion Commercial Solutions, this person will coordinate a wide range of administrative duties to ensure efficient operations of the organization.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:   Maintains close communications with the management team and various operations teams within Dominion Enterprises. • Establish relationships with key Dominion Enterprises personnel including: human resources, accounting, safety/facilities, help desk  et al.  • Establishes and maintains various sales and business reports.  • Maintains a monthly calendar of pending financial, reporting deadlines and upcoming meetings.  • Submit invoices to accounts payable, ensuring timely payments are made. • Manages department supply requirements by maintaining inventories; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies and verifying receipt of supplies.  • Administers and reconciles managers’ credit card statements.  • Facilitates a variety of team functions and events including: social events, business meetings and conferences etc. • Resolves administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions. • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques. • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects; expediting work results. • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


Requirements

Education and Experience:  Minimum of bachelors degree with some advanced business/computer courses desired. Three years business office experience with some supervision preferred.

Personal Attributes:  A successful candidate has effective organizational, reporting, time management, administrative writing, managing processes, verbal communication, and problem solving skills. Goal oriented. Possess excellent computer skills and various applications, including Google software and Microsoft Office. Has the ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast paced business environment. Outgoing personality accustomed to working in a team environment.
