Job Details

  

 The Administrative Assistant shall:

  • Answer phones during the course of the business day
  • Receive and redirect incoming communications
  • Provide direct support to the Senior Associate Commissioner
  • Provide support to other staff on an as needed/as directed basis
  • Respond to inquiries and requests from the conference member institutions
  • Ensure and/or facilitate the timely distribution of information – via email, fax, telephone and mail to staff and conference member institutions
  • Complete special projects as designated by the Commissioner and/or Senior Associate Commissioner
  • Perform office duties such as mailing, filing, typing, copying, preparing travel for staff
  • Create, type and review correspondence
  • Inventory, order and manage office supplies
  • Update institutional information for directories
  • Provide support to sport supervisors of officials
  • And other duties as assigned

Requirements

Interested candidates will possess the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; prefer two or four-year college graduate
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to type 50 at least words per minute
  • Must be able to take dictation
  • Must be able to proofread
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • An outgoing, friendly demeanor
  • Capacity to work on various tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Internet proficiency
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Must have a positive attitude
