Position Specifics: Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. Must have proven experience as Siemens Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Architect.

Products group is in the process of expanding its PLM capabilities and is seeking an IT/PLM Solutions Architect that will be part of a multi-phase Tc/NX Project and support the implemented solution when it is complete. Ideally, this position is to be located in Newport News, VA. We need a professional that has basic knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). This position will be supporting our Engineering users both internally and externally with our parent company Huntington Ingalls – Newport News Shipbuilding.

The PLM Architect will be responsible for assisting with design, development, and sustaining the PLM platform spanning a broad range of Siemens TeamCenter Unified Architecture technology tiers (resource, enterprise, web, client, security, configuration, and integrations).

• Owns and manages all technical responsibilities for Team Center PLM software including but not limited to TCUA 10, TCUA Multi CAD Data Management, CAD integration, Product Data/Change/Document Management, Product Portfolio Management (Schedule Manager), compliance management and supplier integration

• Engagement with all system architecture and solution configuration activities across all PLM modules

• Assess business problems and derive scope in terms of its technical implementation of Teamcenter

• Assist in gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.

• Design scalable, reusable and robust solution using Teamcenter and supporting solutions

• Technical Lead resource for installing and configuring a prepackaged Teamcenter solution.

• Create test plan and test scripts for validating and deploying an implementation package.

• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to coordinate implementation.

• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders about project status.

• Provide release management support using BMIDE, Configure and troubleshoot TCUA reports, through Reports Manager or coding

• Provide CAD integration specific support and guidance to R&D Engineering Users

• Provide thought leadership in using Teamcenter in quality, supply chain, manufacturing etc.

• Work with IT functional teams and business to set short term objectives and long term vision

• Support business readiness and change management activities prior to production rollout events.

• Mentor implementation consultants to develop and document best practices and promote knowledge sharing

• Coordinate with product development to resolve critical issues, communicate customer product enhancements and align implementations to product roadmaps.

Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems. Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.

20+ years relevant experience with Bachelor's; 18+ years relevant experience with Master's. An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement for this job. This experience is in addition to the relevant years of experience listed with the job's education requirements. Example: If this job required a Bachelor's degree + 5 years relevant experience the equivalency would equal HS diploma + 9 years job related experience.
