Description: Associate Application Developer The Associate Application Developer will understand and translate business needs into system scope and objectives. They will devise or modify procedures to solve problems using information systems. In addition, this person prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written and designed, coded, tested, debugged and documents those programs. The Programmer Analyst is competent to work on simple to fairly complex program analysis and programming assignments. Responsible for analysis of systems with a focus on technical internal specifications, coding testing and documentation. Helps to determine specifications: develops, assists, modifies and expands new and existing programs through analysis and programming. At ADP we are driven by your success. RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Encodes, prepares test data, tests and debugs programs at various complexity levels. Writes structured, well organized and documented, highly maintainable programs. Prepares test data, test scenarios and test plans that ensure programs are working correctly prior to release.
* Analyzes the requirements for a program and defines its overall structures. Analyzes system/program problems and defines solutions. Prepares both functional and technical specifications. Utilizes knowledge of Product Life Cycle (PLC) and follows PLC guidelines whenever necessary. Performs business analysis and translates into specifications and develops all levels of logic flow charts.
* Provides assistance to other staff members on selected functional and technical issues.
* Assists in software package evaluation and setting departmental standards and procedures. Monitors changes in technology. Remains up-to-date on current industry trends through courses, reading, etc.
* Provides support to user groups and other developmental groups to resolve system problems. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
* Associate's degree in Math or Computer Science OR technical training equivalent OR an equivalent in education and experience required.
* 2+ years of experience as a developer with progressive programming and analysis experience.
* Requires proficiency in at least two higher-level development languages.
