POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst will understand and translate Product Owners' business needs into system scope and coding objectives for full stack .NET and MS SQL applications in an agile development environment. They will author Features and User Stories in collaboration with the Product Owners and Development and Test teams. In addition, this person prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written and designed, coded, tested, and debugged. The Business Analyst is competent to work on simple to fairly complex program and requirements analysis. Responsible for analysis of systems with a focus on technical internal specifications for complex billing systems. Helps to determine specifications for complex billing applications: develops, assists, modifies and expands new and existing programs through analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create specifications and business requirements documents
  • Visualize solutions and describe projected data flows
  • Understand user-experience, and define requirements for usability and user-interfaces
  • Define reporting and logging requirements
  • Own and develop relationship with partners, working with them to optimize and enhance relationships
  • Help design, document and maintain system processes
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify and define solutions and make recommendations to product and technical teams
  • Communicate key insights and findings to product team
  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve processes, discover issues and deliver better value to the user community

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years experience in Business/Systems Analysis
  • A degree in IT/Computer Science or business administration
  • Proven experience defining requirements and writing functional specifications, preferably in an Agile environment
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
  • Basic knowledge in generating process documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Experience with complex customer billing systems
  • Experience working within Agile Frameworks
  • Release planning facilitation and co-ordination for large program development efforts
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games, Continuous Deployment
  • Ability be an effective collaborator across all levels of the organization including strong partnering skills
  • Some experience with SQL report writing helpful
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Visio
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills for handling multiple and conflicting activities
  • Capacity for building relationships both internally and externally
  • Ability to think independently and make decisions
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
