Career Development Center Operations Manager



The Career Development Center (CDC) is looking for an Operations Manager to manage the CDC Operations team, the day-to-day operations and projects of the Career Development and Workforce Transition processes, as well as the CDC’s third-party supplier contracts and relationships.



Responsibilities encompass people leadership, program, process, supplier, and project management; and include directing and coordinating all project work across the CDC team; providing consulting services to Human Resources and line of business leaders on how to plan for reduction in force events and support associates impacted by restructuring activities; managing the logistics associated with reduction in force events (including third-party management); and ensuring accurate data management and well-managed process execution. Travel will be required to support team and reduction in force events.



**Responsibilities**



_CDC Operations_



+ Lead CDC Operations team, with associates and contractors as direct reports

+ Own/manage third-party supplier partnerships, including contract and relationship management

+ Direct and coordinate the project work across the CDC team

+ Provide management and oversight of CDC operations to ensure flawless execution of programs, including logistics, communications, scheduling, reporting and systems

+ Document and manage Career Development and Workforce Transition processes and provide strategic oversight and guidance to ensure flawless execution and customer satisfaction

+ Identify opportunities to streamline and improve CDC processes and execute on recommendations to reduce turnaround times and improve the customer experience

+ Ensure all on-site CDCs continue to expand their reach and capabilities and are appropriately staffed with career consultants and administrative resources

+ Build and foster relationship with key partners to drive results and build sustainable operations processes

+ Partner with Workplace Solutions on changes to workspace for CDCs, such as acquiring and configuring workspace, as needed

+ Manage cost and overall operations budget and invoicing

+ Own/manage all CDC documents and online content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, accessibility, and organization

+ Monitor and maintain CDC official records



_RIF Support_



+ Serve as the primary point of contact for HR Consultants regarding CDC processes and career transition resources for associates

+ Assist HR Consultants and business leaders with reduction in force planning and associate support initiatives

+ Manage all CDC logistics and operational responsibilities associated with assigned events

+ Participate in leader preparation activities and associate notification support

+ Provide recommendations on associate support programs and engage third-party supplier to provide resources

+ Manage on-site CDC set-up, in partnership with Workplace Solutions, Technology, and various HR partners, and manage on-site supplier resources

+ Ensure accurate data management and well-managed processes

+ Provide status updates and metrics to key stakeholders



_Special projects_



+ Proactively assess the need for process and/or program improvements and make recommendations to leadership

+ Manage enhancement projects within team and cross-functionally



**Basic Qualifications**



+ Bachelor’s Degree

+ At least 5 years of experience in operations management

+ At least 5 years of experience in third-party management

+ At least 5 years of experience in people leadership



**Preferred Qualifications**



+ At least 5 years of experience in project and/or process management

+ At least 5 years of experience in program management

+ At least 5 years of experience in strategic consulting/problem solving

+ Experience managing associates at a variety of levels and career stages

+ Proven track record of effective and autonomous prioritization and multi-tasking

+ Advanced creative problem-solving skills

+ Strong facilitation and public speaking skills

+ Clear communication and ability to influence effectively across all levels

+ Customer and results-focused

+ Experienced in analyzing data to create reports and guide decision-making
