Riverside Health System's division of Research and Discovery is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Works under the supervision of the Executive Director of Research and Discovery, appropriate designated supervisor, and the Principal Investigator. Performs all duties related to the conduct of clinical trials in accordance with RHS policies, protocol requirements as well as all local, state, and federal regulations/guidelines. Utilizes clinical skills and knowledge of protocol requirements to ensure studies are properly conducted in conformance with the protocol guidelines, department standards, and GCP (Good Clinical Practice) as set forth by government regulations. This position works closely with the Principle Investigator (PI), members of the research team, study sponsors and monitors and IRB (Internal Review Board) to provide guidance on administration of the compliance, financial, contracts, and other regulatory aspects of clinical studies. Manages and coordinates all aspects of conducting clinical trials within Riverside Health System. 

EDUCATION: Bachelor Level Degree or above is required.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: Successfully completes and maintains IATA training certification. Successfully completes and maintains CITI (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative).
Clinical requirements: Registered Nurse: Current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse or a multi-state licensure privilege to practice in Virginia. Practical Nursing: Current unencumbered license as a Practical Nurse or a multi-state licensure privilege to practice in Virginia.
Non-clinical requirements: Related certifications preferred such as Certified Clinical Research Professional from Scoria (Society of Clinical Research Associates) or Certified Clinical Research Coordinator from ACRP (Association of Clinical Research).

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years' experience in clinical research preferred. Related certifications preferred such as Certified Clinical Research Professional from Scoria (Society of Clinical Research Associates) or Certified Clinical Research Coordinator from ACRP (Association of Clinical Research).

HOURS: Full Time; Monday through Friday; Days (Evenings and Weekends, as needed)
