Community Services Associate II - IDD/MH Crisis Program (On-Call)

The Community Services Associate II is responsible for providing direct care and therapeutic respite services in the private home, residential facility, or REACH Therapeutic Respite Facility; in conjunction with assisting the Program Supervisor/Respite Manager in providing direct service treatment and case coordination for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in an Intermediate Care Facility or Therapeutic Respite Facility.

Candidates will be contacted to fill in on vacant shifts as needed, will work in a crisis setting. Must be willing to work weekends, evening and overnight on a consistent basis. Must remain current with all training and employment requirements.

REACH - Regional, Education, Assessment, Crisis Services, Habilitation

REACH is a 24/7 mobile crisis intervention program that provides crisis support to adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The goal of the program is to prevent unnecessary institutionalization of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and to provide them opportunities to live in the most integrated setting appropriate to their needs and consistent with their informed choice. REACH provides in-home and community based crisis assistance services to individuals and their families in order to improve the quality of life and decrease facility and hospitalization placements. This class provides direct short term crisis residential services for individuals served with intellectual and developmental and behavioral health disabilities. Supervises full and part time staff engaged in residential care. Responsible for the overall program management of planned and unplanned residential respite component of REACH services.

Hourly Rate: $16.53

Work Schedule: Must be available on evenings, weekends and/or overnights on a consistent basis.

Requirements

Associate's Degree in Human Services and one (1) year of experience in working with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, or mental illness, Intermediate Care Facility experience OR two (2) years of experience in working with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, or mental illness, Intermediate Care Facility experience OR Virginia licensed CNA and one (1) year related experience in working with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, or mental illness, Intermediate Care Facility experience.

Valid Virginia Driver's License. Please submit your Department of Motor Vehicle driving record current within the last 60 days.
