Contract Manager – Galley

 Location:  Dam Neck Naval Air Station

 Full-time, 40 Hours per Week

 Salary Range:   $39,000 - $46,000 annually


The Contract Manager is responsible for the overall supervision, planning, budget and execution of the contract.  This position is required to monitor performance in the accordance with the Statement of Work incorporated into the contract between Versability Resources and the U.S. Government.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the supervision of employees
  • Responsible for ensuring the Statement of Work is met satisfactorily according to the Government standards (set forth in the Statement of Work)
  • Responsible for monitoring and evaluating employee performance.  This duty includes the completion of annual performance reviews and any personnel actions deemed necessary throughout the employment of each individual
  • Responsible for maintaining a positive line of communication with Government representative as the primary contact
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of employee records including timesheet submission
  • Responsible for keeping the Assistant Director of Government Contracts informed of any circumstances that could negatively affect Versability Resources relations with the Government and/or the Prime Contractor
  • Responsible for communicating effectively, both written and orally, with Versability Resources, Government and the Prime Contractor
  • Responsible for ensuing employee(s) with IEE’s comply with Versability Resources standards and requirements

Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge Requirements

Education: Associates Degree in Business preferred

Experience:  A minimum of 5 years Management experience preferred

 Skills Knowledge & Abilities:

  •  Must be able to operate and maintain equipment
  • Must have the knowledge of the procedures that involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks without assistance and/or supervision
  • Must be able to work flexible hours within a late night/early morning, seven-day-a-week schedule
  • Must be able to work without error under the stress of time constraints to complete specific tasks
  • Must be able to organize assigned duties and fulfill multiple contract obligations
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English


  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work safely in slippery areas
  • Ability to stoop, reach, bend, twist, and carry utensils
  • Ability to work in hot, uncomfortable and noisy areas
  • Ability to lift up to (50) pounds
  • Ability to employ hand dexterity in the use of equipment.
  • Must be able to work any shift.  The shifts vary; the facility is open seven days a week to include Government holidays.
