Riverside Healthy living community is looking for a COTA prn for our skilled, AL and Longterm facility in Smithfield, A staff Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) is required to be flexible with daily scheduling and may be required to work various patient care settings. A staff COTA is supervised by a licensed Occupational Therapist and the Rehab Services Management. Following an evaluation by an Occupational Therapist, the assistant will follow the plan of care and perform COTA procedures as allowed by referral to aid restoring function, improving mobility, relieving pain, and preventing or limiting permanent physical disabilities. This position may also perform other assigned duties. A staff COTA must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age, goal, and diagnosis appropriate care. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development throughout the life span, be able to assess patients? needs and status by analyzing evaluated data, and be able to interpret information to identify age-specific needs and provide appropriate care accordingly per patient care setting. This position must also be able to follow and adhere to the practices described in the Department Policy and Procedure Manual.
