**Description**



Capital One is looking for a seasoned director to lead a team that serves as a central point of coordination and communication during cybersecurity incidents. In addition to cyber incident management, this team under this leader will also function perform all-source intelligence collection, analysis and dissemination. The work conducted by this function will be instrumental in bolstering situational awareness for stakeholders across Capital One, to include senior executives, during enterprise-wide cybersecurity incidents.



**Job Duties**



**The successful candidate will lead a team of intelligence analysts who:**



+ Acts as the organization’s 24x7x365 POC for threat intelligence and cyber incident coordination

+ Executes cyber incident management communication and coordination protocol in accordance to established incident management procedures.

+ Drafts After Action Reports (AAR) following high impact cyber incidents.

+ Provide current intelligence updates to cyber operations and senior leadership via flash reports, intelligence highlights, verbal briefings and various other finished intelligence products.

+ Receive, transmit and distribute internal message traffic on relevant cyber threats

+ Serve as the department’s always available interface with law enforcement, information sharing forums and peer organizations.

+ Maintain situational awareness of cyber threat activity on a global scale via open and closed source reporting.

+ Performs other situational awareness and communications facilitation functions as required.



**Skills / Abilities:**



+ **Must have prior experience** **leading** **a high tempo 24x7 operation such as a NOSC, SOC or intelligence watch floor.**

+ Communicates orally and in writing in a clear, precise and persuasive manner.

+ Must be able to document processes and procedures while ensuring they are being followed during daily operations.

+ Must possess the command & control presence necessary for crisis coordination and response

+ Able to simultaneously manage multiple high priority issues under tight deadlines and having senior executive visibility.

+ Must possess strong leadership and people management skills.

+ General understanding of cyber security and intelligence management best practices.

+ **This is an operational role in a high tempo environment.** Candidate must be a fast learner and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

+ **Candidate must be willing to work / be available during non-standard working hours to lead cyber incident management functions if necessary.**



**Basic** **Qualifications**



+ At least 8 years’ experience in incident management like (general IT or cyber), service delivery or knowledgebase management.

+ At least 8 years’ experience working in a 24x7 high tempo operational environment.

+ Certification: ITIL or Six Sigma certification



**Preferred Qualifications:**



+ Bachelor’s degree or military experience
