Director, Commercial Card Client and Supplier Solutions



Background: The Commercial Card business is on a growth journey transforming the payables client and supplier experience for middle market companies and expanding Capital One’s market share through national sales and underwriting. We have invested heavily in product technology, national sales capabilities, and operations infrastructure in anticipation of massive multi-year growth in volume.



Role: The Director, Client and Supplier Solutions role is a transformational operations leadership role that will offer the opportunity for the right leader to simultaneously develop and lead the people, process, and infrastructure to scale the client and supplier facing aspects of the Commercial Card business.



The team is at a growth inflection point with much of the foundational work complete (first plateau of staffing, key processes/controls defined, 95% of call volume insourced, and a robust capability development and operational learning agenda) and needs a leader who can take this to the next level to achieve breakout growth while being an inspiring cross functional leader and incredibly well managed.



Specifically, the leader will have accountability for:



+ Leading leaders of the onboarding, servicing (both cardholder and program administrators), and supplier enablement functions

+ Developing and leading through the next iteration of the client and supplier facing components of our target operating model (roles, functions, alignment, etc)

+ Transforming how we perform client onboarding from a functional model to a client and spend-centric approach

+ Building out robust supplier enablement capabilities to support commercial card and ultimately national payments growth

+ Driving ongoing improvements in client and associate experience while delivering against budget expectations including revenue generation through spend enablement and achieving scale cost efficiency over time



Responsibilities:



+ Provide customer experience and operational leadership for Commercial Card client and supplier solutions

+ Serve as customer for cross-functional teams to develop and execute the operational strategic agenda for client onboarding, servicing, and supplier enablement

+ Ensure operational readiness for national expansion volume, large programs, and new products and capability rollouts

+ Motivate and inspire operations team and foster a culture of continuous improvement



Basic Qualifications:



+ At least 3 years of experience in a credit card organization

+ At least 3 years of people management experience

+ At least 2 years of process management experience



Preferred Qualifications:



+ 5 years experience in credit card organization

+ 5 years experience in people management in a matrixed organization

+ Any experience in commercial banking

+ Any experience in B2B payments
