Job Summary: Works under the direction of the Executive Director, organizes, directs, coordinates, staffs and controls a range of Food Service activities so as to accomplish the goals and objectives of the department. Initiates Performance Improvement processes on an on-going basis so as to improve key aspects of care or service. Oversees 50 employees. 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Hotel, Restaurant Management or Food Service related program required. Certification in Dietary Management preferred. 10 plus years of progressive management experience in lieu of a degree will be considered, in which case candidate will be required to obtain a Bachelor's degree within a specified time period. 

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressive food service management experience including but not limited to hotel/restaurant management, hospitality, and institutional food service. CCRC experience is a plus.
  • Culinary and management experience strongly preferred.
  • Certification in food safety preferred. Experience managing budgets and financials a plus. 
  • Strong leadership skills a must.
  • Good communication skills and front of the house experience working with clientele strongly preferred.
