Riverside Health System is seeking a Director of Clinical Operations for Home Health, Private Duty, and Hospice.
Job Summary: The Director of Clinical Operations for Home Health, Private Duty and Hospice has the responsibility for the daily operations and administration of services provided by all RHS Home Health Agency / Branch locations, Private Duty locations and Hospice locations. The Director utilizes clinical and management expertise to develop, implement, and evaluate services provided to patients in a home environment. Ensures the quality of care provided. The position encompasses Agency and Division wide administration, management, collaboration and education, with emphasis on aligning and achieving Health System initiatives in the key focus areas. The Director works under the supervision of the Senior Director of Home Care and the Professional Advisory Committee. Responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating services of the Home Health and Hospice Programs in accordance with the program's goals and objectives, policies and all governing bodies. Implements policies and procedures approved by Division's governing bodies. Oversees delivery of services, budget, record maintenance and employee relations. Acts as a liaison with Governing Board and the Professional Advisory Committee, employees, patients and clients. Arranges and negotiates services provided through contractual agreement. Ensures that all Agency staff stay current with clinical practices and patient care, and maintains an ongoing plan for staff development and continuing education. Stays in compliance with regulations regarding Program operating procedures and implements corrective action in response to reports submitted by regulatory agencies or governing bodies. Monitors business operations to achieve financial stability.
This position oversees 12 direct reports including Home Health and Hospice Agency Nurse Managers, Staff Development, Private Duty Nurse Manager, Therapy Manager, and a Diabetic Educator.
Education: BSN is required. Master's degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
Licensure: Current and valid licensure as a Registered Nurse with eligibility in Virginia is required.
· 3-5 years of progressive management or healthcare administration experience is required.
· Concentrated experience in home care, private duty, or hospice is strongly preferred.
· Must be able to demonstrate competencies and application of skills in nursing practice and administrative principles.
Hours: Day shift. To be based in Newport News, VA with routine day time travel to Gloucester, Tappahannock, and Eastern Shore facilities.
