Job Summary: The RMG Division Patient Safety Director serves in a leadership capacity to drive safety systems implementation and results across the medical practice division. Responsible for developing a safety vision for the RMG Division and forming projects to execute the vision.  Collaboratively selects safety metrics for the RMG Division, and tracks and reports performance.   Leads the RMG RCA Advisory Council, acts as lead safety resource for the RMG MPAQ Committee, and serves as primary administrative resource for the RMG Peer Review Committee.  Leads root cause analyses for RMG Safety events, and coaches / mentors the Practice Leader community in performing apparent cause analyses.  Significant emphasis to serve as partner and influencer with the RMG Provider community and RMG Practice Directors.  Consequently, will spend significant time rounding in the practices.  A close partner with the RMG Quality Director.   Acts as the RMG rCare training resource.  Implements systems that drive outcomes, and is accountable for both.  Will act as resource for supporting the conversion to ISO 9001.  Partners with the Service Excellence team to drive improvement in patient satisfaction scores. Helps to drive improvements in team member safety across the RMG Division.   Strong project management, process improvement and communications skills required.  

 

Education: Bachelor's degree is required.


Certifications: Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) must be obtained within 1 year of employment.

 

Experience: 5 years of healthcare experience is preferred. Strong process improvement and project management skills desired.
