Director, Technical Product Management, Enterprise Customer Intelligence

Enterprise Customer Intelligence is a team of product managers, data scientists, engineers and program managers who are passionate about enabling financial products that are aware and adaptive to consumers’ needs. We develop APIs, data platforms and tools for Capital One to develop and apply continuous customer understanding and context in all our consumer products and experiences. Enterprise Customer Intelligence is a central component of Capital One’s investment in new data ecosystems and machine learning.



**The Role:**



We are looking for a technical product director to lead and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver data capabilities, platform services and tools.



These services and tools will enable product managers, developers and analysts to utilize customer context when building customer centric products that solve business problems.



**Accountabilities:**



+ Identify consumer and business value through our data and deliver the services and tools for operational and analytical use cases.

+ Drive collaboration between product, engineering and data science to derive consumer insights through machine learning

+ Contributing to shaping our enterprise consumer data service strategy

+ Influence adjacent enterprise platform teams to align their roadmaps to Enterprise Customer Intelligence needs and requirements.

+ Manage teams across multiple services and tools to deliver new data APIs, capabilities and internal tools.

+ Engage deeply with internal customers, partners and executive stakeholders to align shared goals to priorities to success parameters.

+ Prioritize roadmaps against business needs, longer term platform health and partnership needs.

+ Evangelize platform capabilities across other enterprise groups and lines of business.

+ Translate business requirements into technology specifications – in both directions: top-down and bottom-up

+ Manage inter-team and technology dependencies to mitigate project and product risks

+ Mentor, coach and support team members to reach their aspirations and find professional satisfaction.

+ Actively contribute to creating a great team culture.



**The ideal candidate will have:**



+ Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence or related technical field

+ Experience building data products, platforms and capabilities, examples including:

+ Various types of data repositories and query paradigms (relational, schema-on-read, graph, time series)

+ Knowledge management, for organization, discovery and inference

+ Handling of streaming data and temporal analytics

+ Application of machine learning and architecture of adaptive systems a plus

+ Proven track record in balancing consumer outcomes, business needs and technical feasibility and delivery.

+ Success in navigating corporate environments and startups



**Basic Qualifications:**



- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience



- At least 7 years of experience in digital product management



**Preferred Qualifications:**



- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field



- MBA or Master’s degree



- 10+ years platform tools, API, backend systems product development experience in an Agile environment
