The HR Communications team is focused on cultural marketing communications. Our goal is to engage, support and inspire 46,000+ Capital One associates with ongoing communications about our HR programs, benefits and broader cultural initiatives. We are looking for a passionate teammate and leader to help advance our Diversity & Inclusion efforts by finding new ways to spark conversations and advance the story of our inclusive culture both externally and internally.

**Responsibilities**



+ Lead the development and execution of an integrated external and internal marketing communications strategy and plan

+ Lead cross-functional internal leadership team to advance and deliver on integrated marketing plan including leaders in PR, enterprise social, Careers social and extended internal communications leadership

+ Develop and deliver innovative, effective internal marketing communications that engage and educate our associates and are aligned with our overall D+I strategy, including core messaging, talking points, articles, and blog posts

+ Develop trusted advisor relationship with senior D&I leadership

+ Contribute to and influence external communications including award applications, social media posts, and D+I focused articles

+ Manage internal and external advertising agency relationships to develop creative campaigns for both internal and external audiences

+ Implement measures to determine effectiveness of communications programs

+ Seek or create opportunities to build inclusive associate experiences

+ Develop and execute key internal marketing communications including core messaging, talking points, articles, and blog posts

+ Proactively build and manage relationships with cross-functional leaders and stakeholders across a range of levels, business functions and geographies

+ Translate complicated issues into a clear, concise, simple point of view

+ Advance Capital One’s talent brand including our voice and tone, avoiding ‘corporate speak’ and encouraging natural language



**Basic Qualifications**

- Bachelors Degree or equivalent military experience

- At least 8 years experience leading marketing communications efforts



- At least 1 year experience managing cross-functional teams



**Preferred Qualifications:**



+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

+ Previous experience with talent brand, employment, internal employee cultural or marketing communications

+ Previous executive communications experience

+ Previous diversity and inclusion communications experience

+ Demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility

+ Demonstrated understanding of Web and print design and production

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively under deadline pressure

+ Excellent writing and editing skills

+ Demonstrated strong project and time management skills
