Job Summary: Under the direction of the System Director of Emergency Management, the Emergency Management Coordinator assesses, plans, develops, implements, maintains, and evaluates a comprehensive emergency management program/emergency operations plan for Riverside. Coordinator designs and instructs emergency and disaster preparedness training courses; assists with developing and maintaining liaisons with community partners such as local, state, federal, coalitions, and private organization partners. Recommend, procure, maintain, and conduct training with emergency management assets and equipment. Develop and conduct drills and exercises including related meetings and documentation. Assist in meeting regulatory requirements for accrediting agencies and CMS. Assist with developing and maintaining Riverside's hazardous materials emergency response program. Participates with emergency/disaster and/or safety committees. Assumes a leadership role within the hospital incident command system during activations of an emergency operations plan or declared emergency/disaster. Proposes enhancements or modifications to the emergency management program based on lessons learned, identification of best practices, regulatory or technical changes. Collaborates with all levels within the organization. May assist with leading special projects. Assist with grant programs and budgeting process. Maintains records and documentation related to the emergency management program. Conducts site visits for purpose of program review, development, training, evaluation, and compliance. Assists with the emergency communications platforms. Participates and represents Riverside on local emergency planning committees, community, coalition, organization, or jurisdiction based exercise planning teams, emergency management task forces, committees, or related.

Education: Bachelor's degree in emergency management, management, fire science, or related field required.

Licensure: Valid Driver's License with 5 years safe driving record required and maintained throughout employment.

Experience: 1 year of health care or emergency management experience preferred.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.  Must be flexible to respond on-call.
