Head Athletic Trainer for Football (GP309A)

Old Dominion University, a NCAA Division I member of Conference USA, is accepting applications for the Head Athletic Trainer for Football (full-time, 12 month) position. This position will be responsible for the instruction, supervision, and administration of treatments and rehabilitation programs for ODU football student-athletes


Required Education: Master’s degree in related field or a bachelor’s with training and experience equivalent to an advanced degree. Graduate of CAHEP or CAATE undergraduate training program or NATA approved graduate program.

Required Qualifications:
Several years of Division I intercollegiate athletic training experience or related experience as a football athletic trainer. Current NATA-BOC certification. Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR/AED Professional Rescue certification. Demonstrated skill specializing in the care and prevention of injuries and conditions occurring to student-athletes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications: Several years of Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) or Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) experience as a head athletic trainer for football.
