Description: Lead Software Engineer The Lead Software Engineer will work in a team of engineers to create responsive, scalable and robust associate-facing and back-end applications. We are using the .NET framework calling .NET, Java-based, and NodeJS API RESTful Webservices, and working with T-SQL stored procedures. Additionally, we work on interfaces between internal ADP systems, and partner SaaS applications. RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Join a team of talented software engineers, plan, execute and deliver top quality software deliverables on-time.
* Act as a primary, dedicated technology interface owning the technical responsibility for architecture, analysis, design, development, and implementation of responsive user interface.
* Work closely with product to define and implement and improve user experience.
* Responsible for day-to-day task management and sprint planning, hands-on coding, and working closely with stakeholders. Participate in design sessions, lead and mentoring engineers to ensure that they follow best practices and guidelines, performing heads-down development, working on technical integrations with backend APIs, and working with QA to assure top quality deliverables on-time.
* May require interacting with and administration of packaged software such as MS Sharepoint, Websphere Portal, or other cloud-based providers QUALIFCATIONS REQUIRED:
* B.S. Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent degree is required.
* Minimum 5-7 years of software engineering experience working on front, and back-end system components
* Experience with relational database design and SQL
* Experience writing T-SQL stored procedures or equivilent
* Experience working with product management, architects and stakeholders
* Minimum 2+ years of experience in leading software engineers (hands-on)
* Experience in creating re-useable UI and web service components
* Experience in full software life-cycle (SDLC) -- develop/test/build/deploy/etc.
* Experience in unit testing and integration testing
* Experience with Version Control ie: VSS, TFS, Git, SubVersion, etc.
* Experience of Agile methodologies, Scrum/XD
* Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and Webservices
* Experience delivering scalable and robust web applications for large user base
