Learning Manager - Small Business



Summary:



The **Internal Sales Performance Leader** will be part of the Learning and Development Team and aligned directly to support our internal implementation specialist and sales team(s). Support will begin at time of launch and continue with on-going coaching, learning and development. They will conduct joint work with the leadership team and provide consultation on training, strategies, tactics and tools available to enhance performance.



Responsibilities:



+ As part of the L&D team you will develop, create, disseminate and reinforce effective training and follow-up with our Internal sales teams.

+ You will partner with leadership to drive consistent well-managed customer development and acquisition practices and routines.

+ Establish a consulting process with the leadership team to obtain an understanding of business challenges and opportunities.

+ Work with the broader B2B organization to develop and apply solutions to achieve customer development and acquisition performance results.

+ Create and execute on IS specific learning and development plans and/or process adherence in partnership with the IS Leadership Team.

+ Ensure nationally defined customer development and acquisition processes are executed at all levels of the customer interaction.

+ Conduct the rollout and adoption of new and prescribed tools, strategies, customer development and acquisition processes (Ex. SFDC, Map Anything, Vertical IQ, marketing materials, etc.)

+ Monitor and drive participation and accountability of specific National Learning and Development activities.

+ Ensure regular knowledge and best practice sharing.

+ Foster internal partnerships

+ Project work

+ Perform observations with the IS and potentially RMs.

+ The ability to identify trends and/or performance gaps using data analysis for coaching purposes.

+ Responsible for initial training and overall launch of new hires

+ Aligns with the IS leadership team on strategic plans while providing feedback and performance assessments

+ Liaison between markets as well as the field and home office on processes, training, tools, well managed agenda, best practices, ride along requests etc.

+ Must be able to travel up to 15% to conduct joint work with the rest of the Field Effectiveness Leading Team.



An ideal candidate possesses:



+ Experience influencing and developing others

+ Experience in presenting / training large groups of people

+ Experience training and educating others

+ Experience leading a team of virtual individual contributors

+ Experience driving client acquisition

+ Portfolio management experience

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

+ Proficiency in Salesforce.com



**Basic Qualifications:**



+ Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

+ At least 5 years of outside customer sales experience working with sales hunters



**Preferred Qualifications:**



+ 2 years of experience partnering with Small or Middle Market Businesses

+ 2 years of financial industry experience
