Job Summary: Works under the supervision of the office manager, RN or clinical lead, and the physicians. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating total nursing care of assigned patients, and when necessary, with Spanish-interpreter competencies. The LPN may work in a variety of settings and roles providing hands-on clinical care to include manual vitals, medication review, injections and blood draw. The LPN utilizes communication, critical thinkins, problem solving, and decision making to create a care plan for each patient based on physiological, psychosocial and cultural diversity. The LPN may be responsible for supervising and delegating non-professional personnel working directly with him/her to ensure optimum patient care. Must demonstrate competence in dealing with age related needs of specific patient populations served in their assigned unit/dept. Works under the direction of leadership and a multi-disciplimary team to provide a comprephensive range of services or clinical care associated with and in accordance with standards of excellence established by Riverside Health System and facility goals and strategic plans.
Educational Requirements: LPN diploma required.
Certification/Licensure Requirements: Licensed Practical Nurse or board eligible by the State of Virginia or compact state. Current CPR certification required. Must also have successfully completed training and be certified or registered with an accredited interpreter association or one of the preferred below: Certified Healthcare Interpreter (CCHI) or National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI)
