Manager, Commercial Process Governance



As a division of Capital One, we, at Commercial Bank, have established a process governance committee and central team - Commercial Process Governance - to operate under the direction of our Process Excellence Champion, to strategically influence and drive our Commercial process agenda,



create a robust and sustainable process management system that meets Capital One’s process management & execution (PME) standard, enable Process Owners and Managers with the skills and capabilities needed to design, manage and improve processes and provide supporting tools and best practice sharing to enable effective process management and support continuous improvement agendas.



As a Manager of Commercial Process Governance team, you will play a pivotal role in governance of our process management system by working with a team of process owners, managers and risk managers & partners. You will provide appropriate tools, standard and template to enable creation, modification and management of processes while collaborating with smart and passionate leaders to influence their process outcomes. You will also report on process compliance against our PME standard periodically to Accountable Executives to improve data integrity in the systems of record.



Detailed Responsibilities of this role may include:



+ Design and Manage Commercial’s Business Process Hierarchy

+ Perform scoring of Commercial’s Business Processes to identify Critical Business Processes on an ongoing basis

+ Perform Process Maturity & Sustainability assessment to ensure conformance to PME standard

+ Provide standards, tools and templates to design and manage processes

+ Drive cross-functional teams to achieve business outcomes with great facilitation and problem-solving skills

+ Analyze, identify, and correct data issues with systems used or owned by process owners and managers

+ Drive process improvements aligned with desired customer outcomes, when required

+ Providing subject matter expertise on processes when representing the department in projects and other meetings

+ Managing and influencing a high performing team of associates and stakeholders



We are seeking dedicated, disciplined, process professionals who excel in a team environment and are experts in process improvement. This individual will have demonstrated that they can improve company processes in the past, resulting in saving time and resources for the company. This individual must be able to effectively communicate and influence partners across the company and across multiple levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic agile environment are essential to succeeding in this role. This individual must display strong leadership skills and be able to drive and motivate a team in delivering flawless execution of process improvement projects.



Basic Qualifications:



+ Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience

+ At least 3 years of experience in Process management

+ At least 3 years of experience in Project management

+ Six Sigma Green Belt certification



Preferred Qualifications:



+ At least 2 years of experience in Risk Management

+ At least 5 years of experience in Process management

+ At least 5 years of experience in Project management

+ Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt

+ Lean Practitioner

+ Experience in BPM tools iGrafx or ARIS
