Product Manager - Self Service Messaging



The Capital One Digital Messaging Product team is looking for a Product Manager help drive building the first generation of Self Service Messaging tools for internal customers.



The tools you deliver will enable line of our internal lines of business to design, build, and test new and updated customer facing digital messages across email, SMS, and push notifications (Mobile Applications). This high profile role touches all existing Capital One Lines of business including Credit Cards, Retail Banking, Financial Services, and the overall Enterprise.

**What You'll Do:**



+ Define product vision based on understanding of customer needs and business objectives

+ Manage product roadmap with a focus on creating a suite of self-service messaging capabilities

+ Support product objectives with business cases, product success metrics, design thinking, customer feedback, market research, marketing strategy and competitive analysis

+ Closely collaborate with marketing, technology, analytics, operations and lines of business to define requirements, prioritize features and guide product delivery

+ Lead cross-functional product team and team of engineers to translate customer needs and technology directions into new product strategies and features

+ Own product within an agile environment, specifically documenting user stories, acceptance criteria and user interface design

+ Develop and communicate best practices for campaign management and customer messaging across all businesses

+ Drive day-to-day prioritization of work operations, projects and scope, troubleshoot reported issues

+ Learn, understand and help with product presentations and participate in general technical discussions



**The ideal candidate will possess:**



+ Passion for transforming customer experience and delivering innovation in digital world

+ Experience in an agile development environment in a product owner role with strong knowledge of agile processes

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior leadership and tailoring to multiple audiences

+ Leadership experience, including demonstrated ability to meet commitments, build consensus, negotiate resolutions, and garner respect from other teams

+ Strong analytical skills, ability to solve problems quickly, establish frameworks, ability to assess opportunities with hard data

+ Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously



**Basic Qualifications:**



+ Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

+ At least 3 years in digital product Management

+ Prior experience in applying Human Centered design principles to drive innovative products that meet customer needs



**Preferred Qualifications:**



+ Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or Engineering

+ At least 2 years experience in customer facing Web based front end applications
