Marketing Manager



Capital One is seeking a passionate integrated channels **Marketing Manager** with experience in direct mail to lead credit card acquisition marketing and customer experience for a fast-growing segment. With responsibility for developing and executing the direct mail strategy for Mainstreet, our largest consumer segment, you’ll lead world class creative agencies and work with some of the smartest marketing analysts in the industry. Direct mail and digital are critical acquisition channels and we’re seeking an innovative, data-driven strategist that understands the value of delivering outstanding omni-channel customer experiences.



Responsibilities



+ Develop and implement channel marketing strategy ensuring products and appropriate customer management programs are fully integrated.

+ Analyze business results, marketplace trends and consumer insights to inform/advance positioning, product strategy, claims, branding and marketing strategy.

+ Champion consumer insights to deliver compelling and differentiated strategies and tactics that deliver against segment objectives, particularly driving positive credit behavior changes in our customers.

+ Serve as key marketing liaison for and collaborate with cross-functional teams including partners from: Business and Data Analysts, Operations/Production, Legal, Creative Design, Digital Product Managers, etc.

+ Manage marketing builds, from concept to launch which includes strategy development, business case, briefing marketing/creative teams, managing the various projects required, communicating with stakeholders, and driving marketing best practices and new marketing trends into the work.



The person:



+ Great marketer, passionate about affecting customer behavior and uncovering consumer insights and human truths.

+ Detailed-orientated with strong project management and prioritization skills, along with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

+ Highly effective communication skills with outstanding writing and presentation abilities.

+ Data-proficient self-starter who enjoys leveraging data, metrics and insights to inform marketing strategy.

+ Experience in marketing plan and creative development, consumer research and innovative approaches to increasing response/engagement.

+ Experience with a variety of marketing channels (eg: direct mail, digital channels, social media, content marketing, PR) and skilled in visual communications.

+ Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams within an organization.

+ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint



Basic Qualifications



+ Bachelor’s degree or military experience

+ At least 5 years of experience in multi-channel marketing, including data-driven direct response

+ At least 5 years of experience leading marketing strategy and creative teams

+ At least 5 years of experience in marketing programs, including planning, execution, and analysis



Preferred Qualifications



+ At least 2 years of experience in financial services marketing

+ MBA, marketing specialty

+ 1-2 years of experience working in an Agile team environment
