Job Description Summary

Adjunct faculty members must be responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.

Function

All faculty members must be skilled in oral and written communication and must be able to work cooperatively with other staff members.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Music, Musicology, Music Performance, Music Education, or Education (with a concentration in music) or graduate degree with 18 graduate semester hours in one of the related Music degrees.

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience in Music. Knowledge of, and experience with, proven teaching strategies that promote student success. Candidates should possess sufficient technology skills to work productively in an organization that utilizes significant information and instructional technology resources.
