Riverside Regional Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Manager to join our Medical ICU team! 

Job Summary: Responsible for integration of the nursing process to include, coordination/management of patient care and the organizing, planning, directing, and evaluating of Services provided with a core focus on Facility and associated departments. Provides leadership, direction and mentorship/support to the staffing needs for the designated specialty area(s). As a Clinical Expert, ensures the provision of clinically competent services by validating staff competency in the provision of a comprehensive range of services/care in accordance with standards of excellence, age-specific and cultural sensitivity established by Riverside Health System and facility goals and strategic plans. Performs other duties as assigned.

In response to a growing patient population, we are expanding and reorganizing our ICU's to provide for an optimal patient experience in the most effective and efficient manner for the care team. We are creating new and exciting units with manageable chunks and new leadership opportunities. This position oversees a 14 bed Medical ICU in which medical intensivists are the attending physicians. Our concept is developed upon highly developed interdisciplinary collaboration involving rounding that will promote excellence in patient care as well as opportunities for education and learning. 

Education: BSN is required, MSN is preferred. 

Licensure/Certification: Current and valid RN licensure with eligibility in Virginia is required.  ACLS preferred. CCRN is strongly preferred. 


  • Progressive leadership experience which provided opportunities to develop skills in nursing practice and in application of administrative principles is required. 
  • Concentrated experience in ICU is essential to be successful in this role. 
  • Knowledge of regulations, policies, procedures, accreditation standards required. 
  • Knowledge of personnel administration, economics, and legislation is required.

 Hours: Day shift M-F with variation as needed
