 Plumbers (Fire Sprinklers)

Salary: Starting salaries up to $25.37 per hour. Commensurate with Education and Experience

 

Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic Region (NAVFAC MIDLANT) Is looking for Plumbers specializing in Fire Sprinklers in the Hampton Roads area.  Applicant must have the ability to service sprinkler systems, which include electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and/or electronic units and devices that detect, indicate or regulate pressure, temperature and similar values and relationships; Respond to all levels of trouble calls; Maintain and install sprinkler systems; identify system conditions discovered during inspection and/or testing that would prompt an obstruction investigation. This position requires Journeyman level knowledge in plumbing or pipefitting. In addition, this position requires local licensure required for a Fire Sprinkler Mechanic. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain the NICET Level II certification in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems within 24 months of entry into the position.
