Principal Analyst, Capital Markets



A position on Capital One’s Liquidity Management team offers the successful candidate a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that develops key analytics to drive Capital One’s Liquidity and Funding strategies. The Liquidity Management team is responsible for assessing the adequacy of the Company’s Liquidity buffer through internal stress testing, monitoring & reporting compliance with Liquidity regulations such as LCR, NSFR and Dodd Frank - Enhanced Prudential Standards and developing the Company’s Contingency Funding Plans. The team owns the Company’s Liquidity Policy and is responsible for recommending the Company’s Liquidity Risk Appetite to the Board of Directors.



Responsibilities:

-Manage the annual risk assessment process and daily/monthly monitoring of all major internal stress testing frameworks in order to assess the adequacy of Capital One’s liquidity position

-Collaborate with groups across Global Finance (including Capital Markets and Analytics, Corporate Planning, and Line of Business Central Finance) to develop the Company’s liquidity projections and provide guidance on the size and composition of the Company’s liquidity buffer

-Drive process improvements on existing core team processes

-Apply superior analytical skills to drive key analytics around funding and liquidity in an evolving regulatory landscape

-Develop subject matter expertise in current and evolving liquidity regulations (e.g. Dodd-Frank Enhanced Prudential Standards, LCR, NSFR etc.) Liaison with teams across the company including Credit Risk Management, Capital Management, Capital Markets and Analytics to project liquidity metrics under CCAR and DFAST scenarios

-Evaluate the liquidity risk of new products and make recommendations



**Basic Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's Degree or military experience

- At least 5 years of corporate finance experience

- At least 5 years of financial analysis within financial services experience



**Preferred Qualifications:**

- 3+ year of financial services industry experience

- 3+ year of balance sheet planning, capital and liquidity management experience



- Experience in QRM



- Experience in Python

- Expert in Microsoft Excel

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

- Master's Business Administration (MBA)

- Chartered Financial Analyst certification
