Principal Associate, Small Business Tradeshow Sales & Logistics Management



Within the Spark Small Business Credit Card Team, we are Small Business Proud! Our Customer Development team works with Small Business owners to create long term, meaningful relationships to better understand their business and their entire B2B wallet. Through a consultative approach, we are able to help Small Business Owners optimize the rewards and benefits they receive from their Spark Business Card.

We aspire to become a trusted advisor, an informed teacher, and a concierge to guide and improve the confusing experience of owning, managing, and growing a small business.



**Role**



In this exciting role with the Capital One Small Business Relationship Team, you will be responsible for assisting with Tradeshow logistics, overseeing individual shows and client experiences across the United States. You will help with developing/improving processes and documenting/educating/executing these processes. You will work with Tradeshow vendors to plan and execute on-site activation and sales activities. You will also work on gathering information to develop documentation for governance and execution forums. Assist w/regulatory/legal/compliance adherence and implementation. You must be willing to travel at least 20-30% of your time.



**Responsibilities:**



+ Assist w/oversight of Tradeshow logistics (pre, during, post) and individual show monitoring

+ Develop, document, and execute Tradeshow processes/procedures

+ Work with vendors to plan and execute on-site activation and sales activities.

+ Comfortable interacting w/Manager + roles and potential Customers

+ Help support a cohesive events team by providing clear communication and support to the cross functional team

+ Work closely with leadership to ensure all legal/compliance/regulatory approvals are received and guidance have been implemented

+ Assist with selection, contracting and purchasing of tradeshow

+ Help Tradeshow Managers w/Lead retrieval, clean-up, distribution and follow-ups to phone team

+ Provide recommendations for efficiency and cost improvements while managing the day-to-day deliverables.

+ Track deliverables and manage dashboard to report out to Client Engagement Team

+ Build strong relationships w/potential customers, in fast paced environment, leave positive/lasting impression

+ Assist w/monitoring of third party sales team to ensure positive customer experience and following regulatory compliance to prevent risk events

+ Perform one call sales close to acquire new customers or permission to obtain lead

+ Motivate sales team and collaborate with them on effective sales techniques by show audience

+ Positive, collaborative, hardworking attitude, with a passion for events management and client experiences

+ Proven record of minimal supervision in managing of projects/programs in a fast paced environment.

+ Ability to handle multiple priorities with competing deadlines

+ Flexibility for business/Tradeshow travel (Required 20-30%)



**Basic Qualifications:**



+ Bachelor’s Degree High School Diploma, GED, equivalent certification, or military experience

+ At least 3 year of experience in B2B Sales

+ At least 3 year of experience in sales process management

+ At least 3 year of experience in Project Management and Process Management



**Preferred Qualifications:**



+ 3 years of Tradeshow Management and Hospitality

+ Regulatory experience in high visibility channels

+ Experience in supporting teams/people to execute projects/initiatives
