Principal Finance Risk Associate



Do you like working in the spotlight? Are you ready to work on the front line of a top 10 Bank? Can you build relationships as well as develop and implement innovative solutions?



As a Finance Principal Risk Associate, you will have responsibility for partnering with peers within the Risk Office as well as with Enterprise Control programs to lead and implement risk and control tools, techniques, and frameworks for the Finance organization. This includes the assistance in proactive identification and assessment of potential risks and issues, the monitoring of operational issues and testing results, ensuring partner practices align with applicable compliance, regulatory requirements and expectations.



Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):



+ Serving as a key point of contact and subject matter expert assisting Finance teams with managing Operational risk and complying with Capital One’s key ops risk control programs

+ Maintaining our risk management system of record (PRIME), ensuring issues and events are updated timely and accurately

+ Help implement the requirements of the new Enterprise End User Computation governance policy and framework across the Finance organization

+ In partnership with peers, working with process owners to ensure all business continuity processes are managed and up to date

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with 2nd Line Control programs and Finance

+ Manage, implement and deliver on a subset of various control program deliverables



**Basic Qualifications:**



+ High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification, or Military Experience

+ At least 3 years work experience in Finance, Compliance, Audit, Legal, or Risk Management role



**Preferred Qualifications:**



+ Bachelor’s Degree

+ At least 5 years of experience in Compliance, Audit, Legal or Risk Management in the Banking industry

+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

+ Problem solving and innovative thinking skills

+ Ability to build relationships across a broad range of internal and external constituencies

+ Ability to work without direct supervision and engage effectively at a high level
