Product Owner, Sr. Manager



Capital One is seeking a motivated professional to join the QRM Model Development and Engineering team as a Product owner. This team is part of the Treasury & Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) group and owns the Net Interest Income modeling and forecasting capabilities in the company’s risk management platform, Quantitative Risk Management (QRM). This system is used for interest rate risk management, planning and forecasting, stress testing, funds transfer pricing, and liquidity risk management. We are looking for someone who can understand various QRM use cases and usage patterns, and closely collaborate with our technology partners to release solutions that help fulfill the team’s mission to advance the state of analytics and create operational efficiencies.



Responsibilities:



- Take ownership for migrating critical data processes from legacy systems to a new architecture working with Process owners, developers and architects



- Work closely with technology partners to define end to end destination processes



- Own the team backlog, prioritize and sequence the necessary changes



- Understand domain architecture and upstream/downstream dependencies



- Quickly develop an understanding for new technologies (Cloud / micro services) and how they can be applied to solve problems



- Periodically update the executive team on project status, progress, and highlight risks to the timeline



- Identifying process risks and appropriately plan to mitigate and control



**Basic Qualifications:**



- Bachelors degree or military experience



- At least 3 years of experience managing projects and processes that span multiple teams



- At least 2 years of financial systems integration experience



- At least 1 year Treasury / Balance sheet Management process knowledge



- At least 2 years of SQL and Excel experience



**Preferred Qualifications:**



- Masters degree, MBA or equivalent work experience



- Experience with large bank Interest rate risk management systems / transfer pricing approaches



- People management experience managing small to medium sized teams



- Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies



- CFA designation
