Project Manager, Technology Marketing



The Enterprise Brand Strategy and Management team is responsible for positioning and differentiating the Capital One brand and empowering teams across the enterprise to deliver a cohesive and powerful brand experience – to our associates, customers, prospects and the community at large. A critical aspect of how we are building a leading information-based technology company is the brand reality we curate in the technology and digital communities. The technology event project manager will be partially responsible for coordinating Capital One’s new technology marketing delivery program, specifically focused on our event execution. This position will manage the delivery process of events, activations, and additional projects throughout the year with the goal of showcasing our company’s tech leadership amongst likeminded members of the technology sector.



**Responsibilities:**



+ Work on large and medium scale integrated marketing projects that have a direct impact on the company, specifically with technology events and conferences

+ Autonomously leading and driving the project through discovery and delivery involving: Project Planning (documenting objectives, success measures, scope and customer expectations); Governance Planning and Management (roles, responsibilities, interactions, communication)

+ Develop and execute detailed work plans, project schedules, decisions, risk and issue logs, and status reports including meeting scheduling and calendar management

+ Conduct project meetings and is responsible for project documentation, tracking and analysis

+ Monitor and manage critical path, decisions, risks, plan contingencies, facilitate scope changes, and build mitigation plans to achieve desired outcomes

+ Identify and provide solutions to gaps as needed for project success

+ Act as liaison between brand strategy leads, channel work stream leads, and cross-functional team members within the tech marketing pod

+ Adhere to department/audit policies, procedures and expectations while managing scope, schedule, resources and budget to deliver high quality results

+ Communicate effectively with associates at all levels, to manage expectations, drive to results and provide transparency around the Brand workstream deliverables

+ Apply sound judgment and innovative thinking when working with clients to solve problems, while recognizing trade-offs between competing priorities that affect delivery

+ Work with program manager to identify and solve opportunities to improve and streamline project management practices in the organization



**Basic Qualifications:**



+ Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience.

+ At least 5 years of Project Management experience managing Brand/Marketing projects.

+ At least 5 years of marketing experience either supporting corporate or an agency.



**Preferred Qualifications:**



+ At least 1 year of event project management experience.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Software Suite (Word, Excel, MS Project, Powerpoint).

+ Preferably proficient in working with JIRA/Confluence.
