Recruitment Coordinator and International Advisor (GP305A)

The English Language Center at Old Dominion University is accepting applications for the Recruitment Coordinator and International Advisor (full-time, 12 month) position. The chief responsibilities of the Recruitment Coordinator and International Advisor are the following:

1) Create, implement, and manage recruitment and marketing support for the English Language Center.

2) Manage pre- and post-admission related communication with students, international schools, and educational agencies.

3) Manage and participate in English Language Center (ELC) recruitment initiatives which may include domestic and international travel.

4) Serve as a designated school official (DSO) for SEVIS.

5) Assist with developing a strategic international recruitment plan.

6) Manage recruitment marketing, advertising, and communications, and provide support to the Director.


Required Education: Master’s degree.

Required Qualifications:
Experience working with diverse/international populations. Previous study/travel/work abroad experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Moderate computer skills required (Microsoft applications, social media, etc.). Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadline sensitive assignments.


Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a SEVIS DSO/ARO. Experience and knowledge of current student (F-1) immigration /SEVIS policies. Certificate or degree with an international emphasis. Ability to speak a foreign language.
