Reports to the RMG Vice President/Chief Operating Officer and works in collaboration with the Associate Medical Director. This positions primary responsibility will be overseeing all aspects of quality improvement, and implementation of quality programs within RMG.    The Quality Director will provide support and leadership for the design, development, alignment, integration and implementation of quality improvement initiatives. The RMG Quality Director will collaborate with leadership to establish and guide accountability for key functional areas of RHS Purpose & Commitments as related to RMG. Will promote documentation, clinical best practice implementation and standardization among clinical staff within practices. He or she will facilitate the collection of data and report through the RMG Board Peer Review Committee the plan and results of Quality Indicators for the RMG division. Will have the ability to convert data into useable information (identify the data necessary to establish the baseline and measure the change, data gathering, presentation, interpretation and analysis). Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills along with being self-motivated with statistical strong leadership abilities. Will maintain familiarity with requirements for Joint Commission Standards, CMS, NQF, and other Regulatory Agency Requirements for Certifications. Responsible for integration of quality best practices with electronic health record. Works closely with Clinical Operations and Information Technology. The Director will work collaboratively with other corporate divisions and health system team members to ensure that services and supports are delivered within a culture that strives for excellence and continuous improvement and reflects Riverside Health Systems Mission, Vision and Core Values.

 

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree required from accredited program in health care or business administration, nursing, or closely related field with strong clinical knowledge.  

Certification/Licensure Requirements: Current license in VA if applicable. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification preferred. CPHQ to be completed within 2 years of hire if not already certified.

 

Experience Requirements: 5 years of clinical or clinical quality experience is strongly preferred.
