In the SM role, you'll serve as a leader for your team(s) by ensuring clear communication and organization of all team objectives. The SM will drive the scrum process focused on delivery and driving continuous improvement of the team, along with maintaining product backlog and release plan. The SM will facilitate team productivity by removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's sprint goals and by preserving flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes on the team. You will work side-by-side with product owners and other Agile team members to build Customer and Product centric APIs.



Responsibilities:

Serving as Scrum Master for up to two Agile teams, focused on developing APIs in a DevOps culture

Coaching teams on the basics of Scrum and applying Kanban visualizations and metrics (as needed). In simple terms ... Upholding Agile values and principles; facilitating Agile ceremonies; pushing lean methodologies and automation

Focusing teams to deliver value quickly

Fostering a motivating culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Coordinating across other Agile teams for complex projects

Leveraging data to measuring & monitoring progress against commitments

Resolving and/or escalating impediments to help your team ship code

Your experience probably includes a few of these, or if not, you're ready to start learning:

2+ years of professional experience leading Agile teams on technology projects

Relevant Agile training and certifications

Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

Experience with Kanban, Lean Adaptive Systems, Dev Ops Culture, Extreme Programming practices (ATDD, Swarming, Design-Driven Development, pair programming etc.)

Experience managing projects and/or system integrations that are somewhat complex

Experience working independently in a fast paced, unstructured environment

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

At least 3 years of professional experience working in Agile teams

At least 3 years in technology delivery

Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Professional



Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

At least 5 years of experience managing projects

At least 1 year of experience around API development

Agile coaching certification

Scaled Agilist or SAFe Program Consultant Certification
