Description: SharePoint Developer In this role you will understand and translate business needs into working system code for new SharePoint applications and modify, support and transform existing ones. You will be responsible for providing leadership to more junior team members, and interfacing with management. Additionally you will work with analysts and key users to understand functional requirements, create detailed designs and implement SharePoint Workflows and SharePoint custom searches. You will work on elements of projects with a moderate to high level of complexity, doing analysis, design, programming assignments, and unit testing. You will interface with quality assurance and operational deployment engineering teams. RESPONSIBILITIES:
* PROGRAMMING: codes, prepares test data, tests and debugs programs at high levels of complexity. Writes structured, well organized and documented, highly maintainable programs. Prepares test data, test scenarios and test plans that ensure programs are working correctly prior to release.
* ANALYSIS/DESIGN: Analyzes the requirements for a program and defines its overall design. Analyzes system/program problems and defines solutions. Prepares both functional and technical specifications. Utilizes knowledge of Product Life Cycle (PLC) and follows PLC guidelines whenever necessary. Performs business analysis and translates into specifications and develops all levels of logic flow charts.
* COLLABORATION: works with colleagues to define effective designs, procedures and tests, and to continually improve the overall quality of the groups output.
* RESEARCH/KNOWLEDGE: Assists in software package evaluation and setting departmental standards and procedures. Monitors changes in technology. Remains up-to-date on current industry trends through courses, reading, etc.
* SUPPORT: Provides support to user groups and other developmental groups to resolve system problems. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
* Associate's degree in Math or Computer Science OR technical training equivalent OR an equivalent in education and experience required.
* 5-7 years of experience as a Programmer/Designer with progressive programming and analysis experience.
* Subject Matter Expert building SharePoint solutions using SharePoint Designer, C#, Visual Studio and Microsoft PowerShell to create customized SharePoint Searches, SharePoint Workflows, SharePoint Master Pages and deliver integrated solutions.
* Demonstrated understanding of SharePoint infrastructure architecture.
* 3+ years of experience crafting Microsoft PowerShell scripts to automate complex functions.
* Requires proficiency in at least two higher-level programming languages, the ability to design components and databases, and work in an Agile development environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
* Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET framework, including ASP.NET, MSMVC, WCF
* Languages: C#, Javascript, SQL, HTML5, knowledge of Java also helpful
* Content Management
* Experience building and deploying microservices
* Knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming
* Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills for handling multiple and conflicting activities
* Expertise with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Visio
* Capacity for building relationships both internally and externally
* Strong focus on quality code
* Ability to think independently and make decisions
* Strong interpersonal communication skills
* Collaborative approach to work
