Senior Associate, Tech Supplier Management

Level: Senior Associate Summary:

A Senior Associate, Tech Supplier Management(TSM) is responsible for tactical support, coordination and risk management logistics for complex Capital One third party relationships which reaches across business areas and divisions to ensure the technical aspect of purchasing software, hardware and externally hosted systems are approved by Tech Stakeholders and risks are identified. This position is responsible for key risk management, and performance management related tasks for each intake entered into the procurement tracking system.

Supply Chain Management includes managing suppliers, monitoring renewals, negotiating pricing and validating as needed. Additional responsibilities include knowledge of existing and future technology. Expectations will be to research and develop training for TSM associates to increase technology knowledge of team to support Tech Line of Business objectives. A Senior Associate is expected to work in a collaborative environment with internal customers, as well as with other appropriate stakeholder groups within Capital One and outside suppliers.


+ Support ESM primary point of contact for TSM Tech Due Diligence(TDD) Stakeholders

+ Execute and evaluate TDD policy requirements for assigned complex third party relationships for Procurement Risk Gate process

+ Monitor and escalate stakeholder approval SLAs for contractual agreements

+ Maintain knowledge of TPM Systems, Tools and TPM program intent through execution and training; Additional duties as assigned

+ Support invoice review, reconciliation and payment process; Support third party-related internal audits

+ Proactively identify and/or mitigate basic stakeholder related risk

+ Partner with internal risk or oversight groups to perform all relevant TDD monitoring requirements

+ Resolve performance related issues/escalations with Tech Stakeholders

+ Develop initial on-going performance related reporting for internal stakeholders to review

+ Keep all TDD documentation and information up-to-date

+ Lead and assist in execution of TDD strategies

+ Maintain knowledge of TPM systems, tools and TPM program intent through execution and training

+ Develop and produce reporting for department specifically for the TDD area

+ Work with lower tiered suppliers to manage renewals and negotiate pricing

**Basic Qualifications:**

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

• Strong project management and planning experience

• At least 1 year of related operations management, basic procurement concepts, relationship management, or risk management experience

**Preferred Qualifications** :

3 years of related operations management, basic procurement concepts, relationship management, or risk management experience

• Demonstrated detail orientation, strong written and oral communication, problem solving, teamwork and collaboration

• Ability to work with limited supervision
