Job Summary: An internal consulting position that leads complex process improvement initiatives throughout Riverside Health System. Manages multiple complex projects, delivering results within established timeline. Engages with teams at the system, facility, service line, department, and front-line levels to enact operational improvements. Utilizes process improvement techniques and tools such as Lean, Project Management and Six Sigma to develop and facilitate positive change. Measures results and return on investment across the 5 focus areas (people, integration, quality, growth, finance). Consults with top executives and physicians to identify, scope, and initiate projects that help Riverside achieve our commitments to our patients, residents, team members and community. Achieves results using influence and demonstrated leadership techniques rather than force. Focuses on sustaining changes to foster culture shifts that promote lasting results.

Educational Requirements: Black belt certification in Lean or Six Sigma are required. Master's degree required.  

Qualifications and Experience: 

·         Ten or more years of professional experience required.

·         Professional experience in the areas of industrial engineering, operations research, management, financial and systems engineering or economics.

·         An ability to think critically about cause and effect relationships. Demonstrated track record of leadership among peers.

·         Strong communication and analytic skills in line with level of experience.

·         Must be able to use a personal computer for a wide variety of applications, including database, spreadsheet and web applications.

·         Excellent written and verbal skills and demonstrated ability to proactively approach problems.

·         Evidence of being able to create solutions and orchestrate an implementation plan is required.

·         Knowledge of and ability to read financial reports and work at all levels of the organization is necessary.

·         Ability to work with and establish positive relationships with team members in all areas of Riverside. Must work well independently but also be a team player.

·         Candidate must be a strategic thinker and have a track record of successfully leading
complex, cross-functional teams to accomplish transformational change. 

·         Position will also require skillful use of:

o   Tools for reengineering processes that will enhance patient transitions in an
evolving organization structure

o   Tools to define, manage, control and deliver project team scope of work; design and documentation of operational standards; new product and services launch;

o   Strong communication and matrix leadership skills

o   Demonstrated business acumen; and financial skills to include
budgeting, forecasting, modeling and cost/benefit analysis.
