**Senior Financial Analyst – Commercial Bank Finance**

Capital One is seeking a motivated professional for a Senior Associate position in Commercial Banking Finance. The Commercial Bank includes Commercial Real Estate and Corporate Banking business segments, both regional across our banking footprint and on a national basis for specialized industry verticals. This role will be supporting the Corporate Banking segment of the Commercial Bank.



The corporate banking finance team provides full P&L and balance sheet support for individual commercial LOBs within corporate banking. This role will be responsible for a mix of both vertical LOB support for as well as horizontal support across the full corporate bank. This role will entail analyzing and forecasting financial performance, management reports, products and processes as well as apply advanced forecasting techniques to key value driver forecasts. Develop and build forecasting models, research financial and economic trends for specific projects, and provide technical solutions for business analysis. Forecast important business variables, generate monthly/quarterly business reviews, analyze both historical and forecasting results, and make business recommendations. Provide management and business clients with project statuses. Perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests.



This role includes an opportunity to be contribute to overall commercial finance goals using the agile methodology. Commercial Finance is taking a sprint approach to overall team goals, typically 1 month in length. This creates an opportunity to work with other members of leadership team and broader commercial finance team on cross functional sprints.



Roles require strong communication, problem solving, strategic thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively:

- Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights

- Partner with business leadership and other support functions to assess the financial, strategic and operational implications of initiatives to grow the business and improve operational efficiency

- Develop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiences



**Responsibilities:**

- Financial analysis & reporting: Accurately analyze & explain key revenue and cost drivers and monthly variances, suggest actions to the business, and manage the regular reporting process

- Budgeting, forecasting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management

- Business presentations: Development of presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences, clearly articulating analysis and strategic and operational recommendations to leadership teams

- Ad-hoc requests and special projects

- Independently manage and prioritize workload



**Basic Qualifications:**

- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

- At least 2 years’ experience in financial analysis

- At least 2 years’ experience with financial modeling

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint



**Preferred Qualifications:**

- 5+ years’ experience in financial analysis

- 5+ years’ experience with financial modeling
