Senior Manager, Retail Learning Pod Lead

RESPONSIBILITIES:



+ Accountable for the end to end value chain of learning experience for Capital One Branch associates that can be measured against changes in employees’ performance skill and the business’ performance. This includes associates directly managed by the Pod Lead and an extended network of associates in the pod who are involved with approving curriculum assets, developing learning products, and evaluating results.

+ Manage daily pod activities to ensure we are delivering expected outcomes via daily standups, visual management, and escalation to senior leaders as required.

+ Perform regular analysis of results and subsequent drivers to remediate performance gaps, identify and implement continuous improvement efforts

+ Drive transformational improvements in the customer experience / process

+ Partner cross-functionally with other Branch and HR pods within the organization to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive results

+ Define goals, metrics and strategies for the team to ensure alignment with changing customer and business needs

+ Evaluate impacts that process changes have on the associates learning experience

+ Collaborate with other Branch and HR pod leads to ensure standardized delivery of work

+ Consult with horizontal pod leads on learning experience design recommendations, and implementation/rollout expectations

+ Expertly manage additional projects outside of the pod from start to finish, while providing regular progress updates to team leaders and stakeholders

+ Coordinate development efforts with multimedia developers, facilitators, and subject matter experts in a clear and timely manner

+ Collaborate with team members on best practices as a means to ensure superior deliverables on all projects and initiatives

+ Certifications or equivalent experience in applying Agile, Lean, or a Sig Sigma

+ Communication of complex concepts concisely and clearly

+ Kirkpatrick L1-L4 evaluation methods

+ Skilled in customer-back thinking and passionate about delivering a world class customer experience

+ A strategic thought partner who effectively communicates with all levels of leadership

+ A strong bias for action and a proven track record of mobilizing and building a cohesive team environment

+ Has demonstrated the ability to encourage creative problem solving within and outside of their team

+ A knowledge leader and intellectually curious

+ Positive leadership style that encourages, empowers and motivates associates

+ Must have experience applying Lean/Agile principles in production environments

+ Ability to travel up to 50%



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:



+ Bachelor’s degree or military experience

+ At least 3 years of experience in a Learning and Development capacity

+ At least 3 year of Project Management experience

+ At least 3 years of People Management experience



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



+ Master’s degree or military experience

+ 5+ years of experience in a Learning and Development capacity

+ 5+ years of Project Management experience

+ 3+ years of experience in a Retail Branch or 3+ years of experience in Retail Branch Operations

+ 1+ years of experience leading in a matrixed environment

+ 1+ years of experience leading cultural and process transformation

+ Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
