Sr. Manager, Audit Practices



Corporate Audit Services (CAS), the Internal Audit function within Capital One, is a dedicated group of audit professionals focused on delivering top quality assurance services to the organization’s Audit Committee. The CAS department is considered one of the leading internal audit functions within the financial services industry and is highly regarded within Capital One. CAS professionals are experienced, well-trained and credentialed, and operate within a collaborative, agile environment to deliver value-added opinions and recommendations. The Audit Practices and Innovation team oversees audit methodology framework and related processes, quality assurance and improvement program, training and development, knowledge management and communication, reporting, budgeting, audit technology, and department-wide special projects.



The Audit Practices Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the forward-looking CAS audit methodology framework and processes for the department that include continued development and maintenance of audit methodology and related policies, standards, procedures, processes, tools and templates.



+ The Audit Practices Senior Manager will be responsible for monitoring industry trends, developing new audit methodology, designing new processes, improving existing practices, and providing communication and training to the department to implement change.

+ The work also involves designing and overseeing best-in-class operational processes of moderate to high complexity and effectively leveraging available data and analytical tools to come up with innovative solutions.

+ This individual will be responsible for delivering complex verbal and written communication to the leadership team and regulators on a regular basis.

+ This individual provides input to the development of the quality assurance and improvement plan and supports the development and delivery of methodology related trainings to the department.

+ This individual maintains all organizational and professional ethical standards, works independently under general supervision, and is able to exercise latitude for initiative, prioritize a significant volume of work, and independent judgment.

**Basic Qualifications:**



+ Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

+ At least 6 years of experience in audit, at least 6 years of experience in audit professional practices, at least 6 years of experience in financial analysis, or a combination

+ At least 3 years of experience managing projects or engagements

+ At least 3 years of people management experience



**Preferred Qualifications:**



+ Master’s degree in Accounting, Master of Business Administration, Master’s degree in Finance or Master’s degree in Economics

+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

+ 9+ years of experience in audit, 9+ years of experience in audit professional practices, 9+ years of experience in financial analysis, or a combination

+ 7+ years of experience in financial services

+ 1+ years of experience performing data analysis in support of internal auditing
