Information Technology Services (ITS) at Old Dominion University is seeking a candidate to provide technical guidance, knowledge, and support of University managed IT resources to include but not limited to: Networked and Stand-Alone Workstations; Laptops; Local and Networked Printers; Client and Server Side applications; and Research and Development of deployment technologies for client/server applications, policies and procedures to effectively manage the University’s enterprise environment using industry best practices.

CompTIA A+ or equivalent hands-on experience or knowledge is required.

Preferred qualifications include:
• Considerable knowledge and experience in providing professional IT support of the Windows and or Apple Workstations, hardware, software, and peripherals in a networked server and client environment.
• Considerable knowledge or IT Certifications in advance Microsoft Workstations and Server features and its implementation.
• Basic Windows scripting or programming or successful completion of a formal programming class.
• Knowledge or experience in using Program Management systems, concepts, and processes.
• Knowledge or experience in basic IT inventory management of both Workstation Software and Hardware.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or any combination of related experience, education and/or IT Certifications that are specific to Workstations support.
