Technical Security Manager



The Technical Security Manager (TSM) is focused on providing 2nd line of defense risk management oversight of the design, installation, maintenance of all physical security devices and ensures all physical security requirements are being followed. The TSM publishes written physical security design standards, creates process work flows, validates the design and installations of security systems, serves on cross functional teams, is considered one of the Subject Matter Experts (SME) in all facets of Integrated Security Technology and reviews physical security processes. The TSM will evaluate and test new technologies, promote innovation, research and development of new security systems that will add value to the business. TSM will also identify risks and ensure those risks are mitigated by the RSO team.



The TSM is responsible for defining the strategy for integrated security systems and standards that support the goals Corporate Security Services and internal customers while enabling the local site security managers to draw related services from the larger physical security team, in a self-service manner.



Duties and Responsibilities



+ Writes detailed security system design specifications and standards.

+ Interprets blue prints for the purpose of applying system design standards.

+ Develops and implements quality control standards for security installations

+ Completes the final test and acceptance of security systems.

+ Prequalifies security integrators.

+ Establishes and monitors effective, predictable and measurable procedures/processes.

+ Works with supervisors and internal customers to establish, provide and agree on, clear goals, objectives, and performance delivery outcomes and timelines.

+ Designs, develops, and implements solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs and change outs.

+ Builds and deploys training programs for all users of the physical security systems.

+ Coordinates and ensure timely delivery of daily system support requirements with various support teams such as IT Security, Network Engineering and Corporate Real Estate

+ Researches, develops, designs and tests a variety of equipment, components, products and systems with the goal of fully optimizing and leverage our investments.

+ Works closely with multiple security integrators to provide value and efficiencies

+ Develop and manage risk identifiers



**Basic Qualifications**



+ High School diploma or GED

+ 2 years demonstrated experience in integrated security systems design, installation, and management, as well as equipment lifecycle planning and budgeting

+ 2 Years of experience in organizational change management, project management, and broad functional exposure.

+ 2 Years of experience with matrix management of cross-functional processes and teams

+ 2 Years of experience with risk assessments

+ 2 Years of experience with Project Management Tools (MS Suite)



**Preferred Qualifications**



+ Bachelors Degree in IT Systems Management, Systems Engineering & Design, or related field

+ 5 Years’ experience in demonstrated experience in integrated security systems design, installation, and management, as well as equipment lifecycle planning and budgeting

+ 5 Years’ experience in relationship management

+ 2 years of Industry experience in banking or financial services.

+ Comprehensive knowledge of database management underlying integrated security systems.

+ 5 years of experience in writing design specifications and standards, technical manuals and procedures, and developing and delivering training programs

+ Professional certification in area of expertise (e.g. Certified Protection Professional, Certified Physical Security Professional or Project Management Certification)

+ Certification in Lenel Access Control Systems

+ Experience in MasterMind alarm monitoring software

+ Experience in converting local access control systems to an enterprise wide versions

+ Experience with audits
