Position Specifics: This position requires a Confidential level security clearance. The selected candidate will be required to obtain a CPR Certification as well as a U. S. Passport. This position may require travel. Prior experience conducting electrical cold checks of equipment condition and evaluating parameters for out of specification settings, observing operation of the equipment by ship’s force to witness the full range of performance is preferred. Provide on the job training to Ships Force during any shipboard evolutions. Prior experience training Ships Force during shipboard evolutions is preferred. Must hold a current certification as a level 1 thermographer and or be able to obtain the certification shortly upon being hired. Must have general electrical/IC experience onboard marine vessels.



Responsibilities:

• Providing full-time onsite technical support an engineering services for the following Naval Ship’s systems: DDG Electrical/IC equipment on all naval vessels, DDG Electrical/IC equipment and systems, LSD/LPD Electrical/IC equipment and systems, and all other naval craft.

• Providing support for various assessments/inspections and technical assistance as required.

• Equipment to be supported; Switchboards and load centers, power and lighting distribution panels, circuit breakers, cathodic protection systems and degaussing systems and other equipment as needed.

• Witness operation of the equipment by ship's force to verify the full range of performance, where possible, using appropriate measuring equipment to obtain data for evaluation.

• Evaluate findings of the cold checks and operational checks while overseeing ships force accomplishment of adjustments and repairs to the maximum extent possible during the time available.



Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements

**Basic Qualifications:**



2 Years relevant experience with Bachelors; 0 Years with Masters; An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement for this job. This experience is in addition to the relevant years of experience listed with the job's education requirements. Example: If this job required a Bachelor's degree + 5 years relevant experience the equivalency would equal HS diploma + 9 years job related experience.
