Clinical Intervention Specialist I or II

The Clinical Intervention Specialist provides immediate oversight of school based prevention and treatment services located in assigned schools. Administrative responsibilities include complying with all licensing and regulatory standards, providing assistance with the development and implementation of all policies and procedures, providing supervision to day treatment staff, and collaborating with school administrative and educational staff to ensure seamless integration of programs. Clinical responsibilities include providing oversight of clinical services delivered, developing and implementing an array of school based prevention and treatment services and supports, assessing and evaluating students, provide crisis intervention services, individual, group and family counseling, treatment planning and discharge/aftercare planning, and implementing behavior management program. The incumbent will work closely and consult with educational staff regarding student and school needs. The Clinical Intervention Specialist is essential to partnerships and the success or failure of school based treatment services delivered.

Annual Salary:

Clinical Intervention Specialist I (Unlicensed): $47,017.99
Clinical Intervention Specialist II (Licensed): $55,473.60

Requirements

Clinical Intervention Specialist I Requirements:

Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling and one (1) year of clinical experience working with children or adolescents in a clinical/psychiatric care setting including therapeutic counseling, crisis intervention and case management functions. Incumbent with a Master’s Degree in Counseling must also submit transcripts with application packet.

Must provide proof of registration for supervision toward licensure with the LPC or LCSW Virginia Licensing Board within 90 days of employment.

Valid Virginia Driver's License.

Clinical Intervention Specialist II Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Human Services and three (3) years clinical experience working with children or adolescents in a clinical/psychiatric care setting including therapeutic counseling, crisis intervention and case management functions.

Virginia license as a Mental Health Clinician such as Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Must be eligible or approved for MCO credentialing.

Valid Virginia Driver's License.
